Is IG the only anime studio to ever go public besides Toei?
Gonzo was delisted from the Tokyo stock exchange in 2009, implying that they were on it at some point. A few more studios have parent companies that are publicly traded: Sony (Aniplex->A-1 Pictures) and Bamco (Sunrise). My knowledge and stuff available from my usual sources are really limited in this area.
Doesn’t look like there’s an English source that compiled this info. Sounds like a fun thing for me to look into then.
